Fitment & Ratio Guide

Common Vehicle Fitments

Common fitments for our box include most 1960s-1990s GM makes that run Saginaw 700 style boxes including A-body, B-body, G-body and X-body chassis styles. This also fits 1st and 2nd generation F-body cars.

Steering Ratio Reference Guide

Steering ratio changes the difference in input rotation at the steering wheel to output rotation at the tires. A lower/faster ratio like 6:1 means that less hand-over-hand input is needed to turn the tires. A higher/slower ratio like 14:1 means that more hand-over-hand input is needed to turn the wheels the same degree.
*Lock-to-lock revolutions are approximate

6:1 = 1.25 revolutions
7:1 = 1.5 revolutions
8:1 = 1.75 revolutions
10:1 = 2.25 revolutions
12:1 = 3 revolutions
14:1 = 3.25 revolutions
16:1 = 3.5 revolutions
