Foreign Rack and Pinion Rebuilding Deposit

Description

The standard starting cost for European/foreign rack and pinion rebuilding is $600 plus the cost for return shipping. All rebuilds have the potential of additional costs, which is entirely based on the condition of the specific core that is sent. Some cores have internal components that are damaged or need additional work not included in the standard rebuild. If your core has issues, you will be contacted and given any/all options for how to proceed. We make every effort to keep the cost of rebuild as low as possible, but are first priority is the quality of your completed rack and pinion.

Lead Times:
There is no “standard” turnaround because each manufacturer can be different depending on how quickly we can get seals for the rack, and how much time is needed to complete the rebuild. Please plan for the possibility of us having your rack for a few weeks at minimum.

Please Follow the Checkout Process Below:

1) Complete our online checkout, where you pay an initial deposit for your rack rebuild. Please enter the year and model of your rack during checkout.

2) You will be issued a 4-digit order # after you complete the checkout (xxxx). Please make sure to either write this order # on the shipment package, OR include a printed paper with your shipment that shows the order #.

3) Ship us your rack & pinion however you would like. You can use your choice of shipping provider and packaging. Please make sure that your hose ports are capped and that no fluid is able to escape the rack during shipping. If possible, we also recommend removing the inner tie rods of the rack to help make it shorter and less expensive to ship, but this is not necessary if you don’t feel comfortable doing so. We do not technically need the inner tie rods or boots to complete the rebuild, but if you include the originals we will reinstall them for no additional charge.

4) If you know that you would like to (or need to) replace the inner tie rods or the boots (if they are ripped), we recommend purchasing these ahead of time yourself and including with your rack shipment. We will install new boots & tie rods for no additional cost and send back the assembled rack. New tie rods and boots are NOT included as part of our rebuilding service.

5) Make sure to leave the high pressure hard lines attached to the rack (they connect the valve housing to the rack tube). We need these with the rack in order to properly dyno test your rack after rebuild.
